About us

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit & after much prayer & meditation in November 2008 our mission was launched to continue the building of God’s

Kingdom. With the direction & vision God has given our Pastor Cleo John Bennett, we began our mission with 12 faithful members. St. Mark Baptist

Church was so gracious to allow us to use the church fellowship hall were we would meet on Wednesday nights for prayer & Bible Study. We continued

our fellowship with St. Mark members during Sunday morning worship. After several weeks of meeting we voted on a name for our church Faithful

Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, being God is Faithful to the Covenant he made with man from the beginning.

After six weeks the Lord blessed us both spiritually & financially. Led by God to advance the ministry we moved to the Hilton Hotel in San Bernardino, CA

were we held Sunday morning worship in the Fontana Room which had seating for 50 people. On March 1, 2009 God blessed us to have our 1st church

service. It was a spirit filled service as we look back from where God has brought us. Just 2 weeks later our beloved pastor was diagnosed with cancer.

It was during this time God continued to show Pastor Bennett the vision to continue to build his Kingdom. Our membership continued to grow & soon we were on the move again to a larger space. God continued to bless Faithful Covenant Missionary Baptist Church spiritually & financially & we were able to

move to our present home here at 1400 E. Cooley Dr. Suite #104 Colton, CA

On October 25th, 2009 we had our 1st Sunday Worship Celebration. Pastor Bennett was recovering from surgery but he had a ram in the bush one

Pastor. Vernon Herring who stepped right in & led our worship services taught bible study & Sunday School. We are so grateful God sent Pastor. Vernon

Herring & his beautiful family. With much prayer God has restored Pastor Bennett’s health & God is continuing to guide him on his mission to preach &

teach His word. God has increased our membership to over 100 members & Pastor Bennett has baptized over 20 members. Through the leadership of

Pastor Bennett we continueto grow in Christian Education with Sunday School, New Member & Baptism class. Pastor Bennett continues to challenge all

members to be a church on one accord being committed to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. On January 24, 2010 the church congregation voted in Faithful Covenant Missionary Baptist Church bylaws thus we began to continue to move forward. On April 13, 2010. three Deacons were ordained: Carl Smith,

Johnny Owens Sr. & Kenneth Kilpatrick. Since the beginning God has continued to send many blessings to us. The Mason family donated a piano &

chairs for the pulpit, Pastor. Herring & family donated the pulpit podium & New Spirit Baptist Church of Santa Ana, CA Pastor Leon Clark donated these

pews we sit on today. On April 29, 2010 we filed articles of incorporation with the State of California with that we became an official church. As Faithful

Covenant Missionary Baptist Church entered in 2011 the 1st sermon of the year was “Just be Thankful” 1st Peter 2:19~22 & we are so thankful that God has allowed us to still be together to carry on His

work.

In 2011 our church membership continued to grow as dose our spirit in unity in Christ. On July 10, 2011 at our Annual Youth Day program our very own

Torrian Bennett preached his first sermon & has been added to our Minister Staff as our Youth Minister. We praise God for him & allowing God to use

him to reach out to our Youth. Here at Faithful Covenant Missionary Baptist Church we encourage our young people to profess their faithto learn more

about it & become more involved in spiritual life. The children of today are the future of tomorrow. On October 9, 2011 we had our first Pastor. Vernon

Herring Day where we honored him for being the best Assistant Pastor a church could ask for he & his family have been a blessing to us. Our first revival was on October 25, 2011 we were blessed with three nights of Preaching, Praying & Praise our guest speaker was Manuel Scott Jr. As a Missionary Church we continue to reach out to those who are in need by giving school supplies to the youth & giving out over 12 Thanksgiving Baskets filled with a complete

dinner. Nobody can deny that God has brought us a long way. Through obedience to God and trusting in His word, Faithful Covenant Missionary Baptist

Church is continuing to move forward. Thank you for your support & participation. We thank God for His many blessings & we will be forever grateful to

Him for bringing us thus far. While some have gone from labor to reward, we are truly blessed to be a congregation that is “ALIVE & WELL.” GOD

BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!
